January 2, 2014 - Peacefulness of Sleep

One of my favorite things to do is watch Connor sleep.  Almost every night he ends up with a book of some sort laying on his chest, snuggled in all his blankies (and usually a ton of other stuff!).  I love the peacefulness and innocence on his face.  It makes me forget all the power struggles, all the frustrations of the day, and just lets me focus on the amazing amount of love I have for this little boy.  I am so thankful that God chose me to be his mother.

January 1, 2014 - Lazy Days

Today I intended to take the day by storm.  Decorations down, plan the menu for the next two weeks, get ready for Connor's birthday party this Saturday.  But in reality, the majority of the day was spent laying in bed, watching the Twilight Zone marathon and going online.  And I realize, that's ok.  I am thankful for the occasional lazy day, which seem so few and far between in this day and age.
